Longing for Montréal

Winter turns to spring, spring turns to summer, and—turn, turn, turn.  Yes, to everything there is a season.  And Montréal enjoys celebrating the seasons more than almost any other city.  It must be something to do with various Mediterranean peoples living tolerantly and joyfully amid much beauty, harsh changes of weather, political acrimony, and lots of great places to eat and drink.

So where to stay?  JT recommends Rue Sherbrooke:  unfailingly elegant and interesting for its many miles cutting across the city  A very economical hotel there is Hotel L´Appartement.

And for restaurants ... Laloux.
